Module 3 Diet and health Unit 11 My food project (Stage 1) Listening and speaking: Talking about my food project 设计说明 先让学生小组讨论有关最喜爱的食物、食物产地以及制作方法,然后让学生汇报小组成员的情况,一起回顾上节课所学,并导入新课。呈现本节课的生词、短语。学习“Listen and learn”和“Listen and say”,让学生听录音,锻炼语感,就对话提问问题,培养学生勤于思考、积极解决问题的习惯。另外,通过让学生在小组内询问同学要谈论哪种食物,锻炼学生的沟通能力并提高学生的学习兴趣。学习“Say and act”,给学生播放对话录音,让学生掌握听说技巧;设置问题,培养学生分析问题、解决问题的能力。还可以设置小组扮演对话的形式,锻炼学生的表现力。该部分与前面的部分在内容上衔接紧密,环环相扣:喜欢的食物—要谈论的食物—确定课题研究—确定要采访的人,要落实到具体的教学流程上。结合对话句式,学习有关食物课题研究的问答句式,鼓励学生开口说英语。最后讲解本课节的几个知识点,并设置练习进行检验。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握本课节新词汇:frozen fish, noodle, yogurt, talk about; 学习句型:What food are you going to talk about in your project? I think I’m going to talk about… Who do you need to interview for your project? My project is going to be about frozen fish. 2.能力目标 能听懂并谈论有关食品课题研究的对话。 3.情感目标 尊重学生的个体差异,引导他们不断探索。 重点难点 重点:掌握本课节新词汇和句型。 难点:听懂并谈论有关食品课题研究的对话。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Listen and learn,Listen and say,Say and act的录音;有关生词的图片,有关食物的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Let the students talk in groups. (1) What is your favourite food? (2) Do you know where people make it? (3) Do you know how people make it? 2. Get some groups report, like this: John’s favourite food is zongzi. People in China can make it. They use some bamboo leaves and rice to make zongzi. Jane’s favourite food… Step 2 Presentation Present some new words and expression: frozen fish, noodle, yogurt, talk about. frozen fish 冰冻鱼 noodle n. 面条 yogurt n. 酸奶 They are talking about how to use computers. →talk about讨论;谈论;商谈 Step 3 Listening and saying 1. Play the recording for “Listen and learn”. The students listen and repeat. 2. Play the recording for “Listen and say”. The students listen and repeat with their books closed. 3. Ask them to answer the questions. (1)What are the children going to talk about? (2) What food is mentioned in the dialogue? 4. Check the answers together. Answers: (1)They are going to talk about food. (2) Bread, noodles, fish, and yogurt. 5. In groups of five, students practise the dialogue. Select groups to read out the dialogue. Step 4 Looking, asking and answering 1. Show them a table. Tell them to work in groups. Ask their classmates what food they would like to talk about for a food project. NameFood to talk about 2. Let them complete the table. 3. They can discuss their food project with their classmates, like this: S1: What food are you going to talk about? S2: My favourite food is _____./I like_____ best.
