(课件网) Unit 4 How do you get to school Section A (1a-1c) Ⅰ Teaching material analysis This part is Unit 4 Section A (1a, 1b and 1c).The topic is transportation ways. It talks about how to get to places and distance. It is close to the students’ daily life. It can make the students interested in English. It’s the key of learning this unit well. I will set up a happy and relaxing environment and improve the students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It’s the most important to build the students’ confidence. Ⅰ) Teaching aims 1. Knowledge and skills a. Key vocabulary: ride, walk, get to, take the train Target language: How do you get to school I take the bus… How does he/she get to school He /She takes the train… b. Ability aims: Be able to talk about how they get to school. 2. Procedure and methods : Feel the happiness of group work and experience the success. 3. Emotion, attitude and values : To understand the environment is so important and we should all make a contribution to protecting it. Ⅱ) Teaching key points (1) Learn the new words; (2) Master the special questions guided by “how”; (3) Learn to make a conversation. Ⅲ) Teaching difficult points Master the special questions guided by “how”. Ⅱ Teaching methods 1.Task-based teaching method 2 Pairwork and groupwork . The students take the tasks into the lesson . They will know what they need to learn and it will make the studying better. Pairwork and groupwork can help the students learn how to get on well with others. They will feel happy when they are successful. When they feel to be needed, they will be more confident. It is good for their future studies. Ⅲ Teaching Aids: 1 A tape recorder, 2 A computer and some cards. A computer can carry lots of information and it can show many interesting pictures to the students. It can make the students more interested in learning English and get better results. Using cards is also a good way to lean English because students can learn English with their eyes ,ears and mouths at the same time. Ⅳ Learning methods: In this lesson , I use watching ,learning by doing , practicing and summarizing methods. In the warming-up step , I show some pictures and ask them to guess something to lead in the new language. Next I show them lots of pictures to practice the target language. At last I ask them to sum up what they have learnt. Ⅴ Teaching procedure Step 1 Warming up Task 1. Lead in the new lesson by asking Do you like playing games We’ll play a guessing game Purpose of my design: The students are glad to play games so they will be happy and active in class. And be able to master the target language. Step 2 Pre--task Task 1 Revise bike, and bus by guessing four kinds of vehicles: play the sound of a bike ring, a covered bus and a clue. What is this bike --bicycle bus boat It goes in the water. ship Have a guess. Purpose of my design :I think interest is the best teacher ... ...
