Unit 4 He said I was hard-working. Ⅰ课文基础知识讲解 Section A 一、课文详解 (一)生词 mad adj. crazy, angry 疯狂的;狂怒的 eg: He was mad with joy. 拓展:be mad at /with 相当于 be angry at /with 生……的气 I got mad at /with him for being late. eg: Pass on the pen to the boy sitting next to you. 注意:pass on后接宾语可以构成pass on sth. to sb. 2. be supposed to意为“被期望或被要求”,相当于should,之后接动词原形。 eg: Teachers are supposed to know a lot. 1. not … any more, no more, not … any longer与no longer四个词都意为“不再”。 (1)not … any more, no more指做某事的次数不再增加,多与瞬间动词连用。 eg: He won’t go there any more. = He will no more go there. = He will go there no more. (2)not … any longer, no longer指时间上不再延续,多与持续性动词连用。any logger在句中的位置同any more一样;no longer在句中的位置同no more 一样。 eg: She doesn’t live here any longer. = She no longer lives here. = She lives here no longer. 2. bring, take, fetch, get eg: Don’t forget to bring your homework to school tomorrow. eg: Please take these things to your parents. eg: She has gone to fetch water. eg: Go and get some water. eg: Let me carry the box for you. You were supposed to meet at the bus stop this morning to return it, but A didn’t come to the bus stop. 或give sth. back to sb.。 eg: Please return my umbrella. = Please give my umbrella back. 拓展:return to some place 意为“返回某地”,相当天go/come back to some place。 注意:return = go/come/give back,因而return不与back连用,不能说return back。 1. nervous adj. not relaxed; not comfortable 神经紧张的;不安的 eg: I felt very nervous when I went into his office. ...
