ⅤTeaching aids Tape recorder, OHP, video, a clock Step 1 Warming-up 1. Show some pictures of birthday and say what they are. 2. Match the words with the pictures. 3. Read the words after the teacher. 4. Introduce the new words. 5. Read the new words after the teacher. Step 2 Listening practice. 1. Look at the pictures in Activity 1. 2. Play the recording through once while they just listen. 3. Ask the students to listen to the recording. 4. Play the recording again, then they can number the pictures. 5. Call back the answer from the whole class and check the answer. Step 3 Work in pairs. 1. Read through the words and expressions and have the students repeat them.
