教 学 设 计 (Lesson 16《Happy Thanksgiving!》) 一 指导思想: 《初中英语新课程标准》中指出基础教育阶段英语课程的任务是:激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力和合作精神;使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写技能,形成一定的综合语言运用能力;培养学生的观察、记忆、思维、想象能力和创新精神;帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,培养爱国主义精神,形成健康的人生观,为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。 二 教材分析: 《Lesson 16 Happy Thanksgiving!》是冀教版初中英语教材八年级上册Unit3《Families Celebrate Together》单元教学的第4课。本单元的核心教学内容是“Families Celebrations”,主要探讨中西方节日和以及购物对话,节日是学生感兴趣的话题,而家庭聚会更是学生了解而熟悉的情景,通过展现谈论中西方国家的不同文化背景,让学生感受中西方文化的差异。本课主要是通过Brian和Jenny一家人在感恩节见面相聚并表达感谢,让学生了解西方人如何过感恩节及学会感恩。 三 教学目标: 1. 能够掌握课标要求的”四会”词汇:meal, conversation 2. 让学生了解庆祝感恩节的表达法。 3. 让学生了解一些庆祝感恩节的句式。 四 教学内容 1.了解庆祝感恩节的常用句式。 2.学习一些用于介绍感恩节活动的句式: (1)let me give you a big hug. (2)Brian went to say hi to his cousins. (3)At dinner ,everyone gave thanks. 五 重点难点 1.掌握一些与感恩节活动有关的词汇:meal, cook, turkey, thanks, help 2.激发学生兴趣,让学生学会介绍感恩节活动的情况。 3.掌握以下重点句式: (1)on Thanksgiving Day, Jenny went to her grandparents’ house with her mother ,father, sister, brother and Brian. (2)Brian went to say hi to his cousins. (3)Thanks to Jenny for all of her help, and thanks to all of you for welcoming me. (4)But with all your help I feel at home now… 六 教法指导: 通过情景教学法和任务型教学法引导学生完成本节课的教学任务。 七 教学过程(适时对学生的表现进行评价) Step1.听celebrate歌曲 (导入) In this unit we have learned how to describe two festivals (Mid-autumn festival, national day ).
