Lesson 25 I Want to Be a Teacher ! 【教学目标】 ●知识目标 重点词汇: might, scientist, grow, engineer 重点短语: be nice to, grow up, have a good rest, take some medicine 重点句型: 1. I wouldn’t give them too much homework on weekends! 2. It’s not easy to become a scientist. ●能力目标 Enable students to describe what they want to do in the future and tell the reason why. 【教学过程】 Step 1: Lead in Ask the students to discuss the questions in “Think about it”. Step 2: Listening Let the students listen to the tape carefully with the following questions: 1. What are Li Ming and Wang Mei talking about 2. What is Li Ming good at Step 3: Reading Ask the students to read the test silently. Then have discussion about the following questions in detail: 1. What does Li Ming hope to do Why 2. What does Wang Mei hope to be in the future Why Step 4: Language points 1.might与maybe 二者表示 “可能” “或许”, 但词性不同。 might是情态动词,后接动词原形,在句子中作谓语;maybe是副词,常放在句子开头。 例:Maybe he is right. 或许他是对的。 My book might/may be in my desk. 我的书或许在书桌里。  2. good与nice 二者都有“好”的意思。 (1)good是通用词,可以表示各种品质方面的优异,从美学到道德规范几乎都可以使用。 Your dictionary is good, but mine is even better. 你的词典好,而我的更好。 (2) nice表示使人感到“愉快的”,“好的”。 She is a very nice girl. 她是个很好的姑娘。 3.sick与ill 二者表示“生病的”意思。 She has been sick/ill for weeks. 她已病了几个星期了。 ill只作表语,不作定语,而sick可作定语。 4.in the future与in future的区别 in the future“将来,未来”,指今后某一时间段或某一时间点 in future“从今以后”,指说话时开始的将来 5.talk to 和talk with 都表示“和……谈话”,只是talk to 侧重于一方说,另一方听;talk with 侧重双方交谈。 Step 5: Retell Retell the test with these phrases. Ask the students to retell in groups, then let them retell together, and then retell in competition. give a talk, be nice to, in the future, grow up Step 6: Exercises Do these exercises from PPT and Let’s Do It③. Step 7: Discussion Interview your group members what they are going to be in the future. Step 8: Homework Write a diary about “your famous friend”.
