At last the day of granduation arrived. 毕业的那一天终于来临。 Sawyer’s bady arrived at midnight. 索耶的婴儿是午夜时分降生的。 ★ night [na t] n.夜间 [课文] The Sawyers live at 87 King Street. 索耶一家住在国王街87号。 ● 表示“姓…的一家人” the sawyers (姓氏前面加定冠词the,后面加s) the sawyer family (姓氏前面加定冠词the，后面加family) In the morning, Mr. Sawyer goes to work and the children go to school. 早上，索耶先生去上班，孩子们去上学。 ● in the morning 在上午，是习惯用法 ● go to work 上班 go off work 下班 Their father takes them to school every day. 父亲每天送孩子们去上学。 ● take sb. to some place 带某人去某地 ● school 前面没有冠词泛指“上学”，如在school前加the，则特指去某一学校做其他事。 ● every day每天，在句中作状语 Mrs. Sawyer stays at home every day. 索耶夫人每天呆在家里。 ● stay at home 待在家里，是固定搭配，与stay home 的意思一样，只不过在stay at home中，home是名词，作介词at的宾语，而在stay home中，home是副词，作状语。 She does the housework. 她料理家务。 She always eats her lunch at noon. 她总是在正午吃午饭。 ● at noon下午，也叫midday ● at noon/ night ● 如果说某日夜里，则用介词on eg. on the night of June 2 ● in the morning/ afternoon/ evening In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends ... ...
