Unit 8 A green world Comic strip & Welcome to the unit 设计说明 首先,通过Free talk导入本单元文章主题———环保。通过图片展示引导学生学习本课有关环保的单词,通过单词的学习和举例让学生知道怎样过绿色生活。然后,进入Part A的学习,并通过图片让学生进一步了解环保的其他方式。再次,进入Part B的学习;先通过听回答问题,再模仿Part B进行编对话。最后,利用图片教Comic strip的单词,并由听力回答问题入手,学习Comic strip内容,然后通过阅读完成短文来进一步理解其内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:dig, serious, wise, turn off 2.能力目标 (1)能准确运用有关保护环境的表达; (2)能就环保的话题展开讨论。 3.情感目标 培养学生保护环境的意识。 重点难点 1.重点:了解一般将来时的被动语态。 2.难点:能就环保的话题展开讨论。 教学准备 PPT 课件;B部分的听力录音,Comic strip部分的听力录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Have a free talk. Ask students two questions: (1)What did the world use to be (It used to be a green world.) (2)What is the world like now (There is much air pollution and waste.) T: April 22nd is Earth Day. How do we protect our earth and make a green world Get the class to discuss the questions. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures. Present some words, phrases for them to learn how to live a green life. (1)We can plant more trees. (2)We can reduce air pollution by riding bicycles. (3)We can save energy by turning off the lights when we leave a room. (4)We can protect the environment by recycling waste. (5)We can save water by taking shorter showers. (6) It’s wise for people to take public transport. 2. Lead students to read the new words and phrases three times or more. reduce vt. & vi. 减少,降低 turn off 关上(开关) recycle vt. 回收利用,循环利用 wise adj. 明智的,充满智慧的 Step 3 Match and say 1. Ask students to finish the Part A on Page 107. Answers:1 d 2 c 3 a 4 b 2. Ask students to look the following pictures and say something about how to live a green life. Model: A: How can we live a green life B: We can_____ by _____. Step 4 Listen and practice (Part B) 1. Ask the students to listen to the dialogue on Page 107 and answer the following questions. (1) How did Kitty go to school in the past (2) How does Kitty go to school now (3) What does Millie think people should do to live a green life (4) What does Daniel think we can do to live a green life (5) What does Sandy think we should do to live a green life Answers: (1) Her father used to drive her to school. (2) She takes the underground now. (3) She thinks it’s wise for people to choose public transport and ride bicycles. (4) He thinks we can take shorter showers to save water. (5) She thinks we should remember to turn off the lights when we leave a room. 2. Ask students to act out the dialogue on Page 107. 3. Ask students to make a dialogue.
