课 题 Unit8 Green Earth (Culture Understanding& Group Work) 课 型 Culture Understanding and Group Work 课 时 1 授课班级 授课时间 45mins 授课教师 教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育-出卷网-出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材,《英语2 基础模块》中第八单元的Culture Understanding and Group Work板块,要求学生拓展阅读“地球一小时”,了解此活动的起源、发展、目的和意义,认识到环保和每个人有关。小组活动通过阅读绿色环保文章,调研同学中存在的最不环保行为,讨论解决方案,并发出倡议书,培养学生解决实际问题的能力,增强环保意识。 学情分析 学生能意识到造成全球变暖,环境污染的问题,掌握了垃圾分类,低碳出行,减少浪费等对环保的作用,能用英语进行交流,就环保问题发出倡议,但还有很多的环保措施和活动需要了解和学习,本节内容拓展阅读节约能源和going green对环保的作用,让学生深思环保人人有责,从我做起,呼吁全体同学加入校园环保活动。 学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To grasp the following:pay attention to,electrical appliances,follow sb’s lead,participate,sth special. To be able to know the activity of “Earth Hour”. Ability objectives: To know the knowledge of “Earth Hour”. To be able to write a proposal to protect the environment. Emotional objectives: To establish a green,low-carbon and environmental protection concept. Discuss the expressions and classify them into two parts. 对有关环保问题和解决办法的表达进行分类,复习有关环保的表达,激发学习兴趣,为接下来的文本材料阅读做准备。 Step 2: Culture Understanding 1.Read the text and learn some words and phrases:pay attention to,electrical appliances,follow sb’s lead,participate,sth special. Read the article and work in group to master the key information about “Earth Hour”. Origin:in 2007 in Sydney Date:on the last Saturday of March activity:turn off their lights and electrical appliances from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm Aim:pay more attention to climate change and save our planet Achievement:88 countries and 4000 cities participated in 2009 Work in group to ask and answer:what will you do during Earth Hour Watch a video to know more about “Earth Hour”. Master the new words and phrases to understand the text better.Take some notes to help learn them easily. Read article carefully to get the key information and remember them to follow the activity on their own.
