Let’s brainstorm some novels and novelists at home and abroad. Mark Twain is a famous American novelist who is known for his humor and irony in his short stories and novels. 【Step 2】Free talk. What if someone gives you a million pound bank note (Varied answers: buy a big house, buy a fancy car, donate money to the people in need…) Ask follow-up questions: What would you do if you had such a large bank note and could not plausibly explain how you had received it Could you spend it If so, where and how Could you deposit it in a bank Would a bank even take it Would the bank call the police 【Step 3】Understanding.
