Read its title and answer the questions. 1. What does the title mean 2. Do you agree with it And can you predict what the text is about It may mean mom knows about her kids more than others. It may also mean mom knows what’s the best for kids. Pay attention to the structure and sentences. Figure out what kind of text it is. the same sentence patterns written in lines rhyme (押韵) So the text is a poem! What do you know about poems Poem is a type of writing. Most poems are written in lines(行). A group of lines in a poem is called a stanza(诗节). Stanzas separate ideas in a poem.They act like paragraphs. While-reading Watch the video and read the poem. Try to perceive what the writer wants to express through the poem. From the poem, we can perceive the writer’s _____ _____ to his/her mom. love and appreciations Read the poem quickly and figure out how many stages of life the writer mentions in the poem. There are four stages mentioned. So we can divide the poem into four stanzas. a baby and small kid a child a teenager an adult Then match each stanza with the correct main idea.
