To master the reading skill-scanning and make use of the short titles to get the main idea of the passage. Ability objective: To be able to read and write an article about choosing a restaurant. Present the possible factors of choosing a restaurant: food,price,location, environment,service... Think and tick. Ask some students to choose the factors they consider in choosing a restaurant. Get familiar with the factors of choosing a restaurant. Make their choices among these factors. 本环节是读前活动,进一步承接了导入活动,通过引导学生思考选餐馆的考虑因素,为后续阅读活动做铺垫。 Step 3: While-reading Read and choose. (1)Ask students to skim the passage and know the main idea and the topic. Then check the answer and as students to state their reasons: “What are the key words /What are the most frequently occurred words ” (2) Analyze the basic structure: the passage states its opinions from 5 aspects: food,price,location, environment and service. 2.Read and complete. Ask students to carefully read the passage again and figure out the mind map of each paragraph. 3.Read and decide. Ask students to read these sentences first and find out the factor it’s talking about like: price,food... and then locate the right paragraph. Skim the passage and find out the key words-choose.
