Who is the writer talking to Why does the writer use sentences like these The writer is talking to “you”. The writer is trying to give an instruction (指令). Imagine staying on an island alone. Don’t forget to take some time out to have fun and enjoy life! 1. 通常没有主语（You） 被省略了； 2. 以动词原形开头，无时态变化； 3. 主要用于表示请求，建议或者劝告等； 4. 否定形式通常前面加don't。 Imperatives 祈使句 Purpose (意图) The speaker tries to give advice / hope / warnings / notice / orders. (叮嘱、劝告、希望、警告、提醒、命令) Structure (句子结构) ① No subject. / Hidden subject “you” (隐藏主语 you). ② The base form (动词原形). ③ Use “please” or the exclamation mark (感叹号) to be polite / express strong feelings. ④ Use “don’t” to express the negative meaning (否定意义). 祈使句 一、概念 用来表示请求、命令、叮嘱、建议等的句子叫祈使句。祈使句的谓语动词用原形，句子没有主语，句末使用感叹号或者句号。 E.g. Open your book! 二、用法 1.祈使句的肯定句。 (1)以系动词be开头的祈使句。 结构:Be动词+其它成分(形容词、名词或介词短语等) E.g. Be quiet / quick! (2)以实义动词开头的祈使句。 常用结构:行为动词原形+其它成分。 Stand up, please. =Please stand up. (3)let句型。 常用结构:①Let’s/let us+动词原形; ②Let+宾语+其他。 E.g. Let me help you. 2.祈使句的否定句. (1) Don’t +动词原形。 Don’t be late again. Don’t play with fire. (2)Let引导的祈使句的否定形式。 a. Let’s ( Let sb. )+ not+动词原形。 E.g. Let’s not say anything about it. Let them not play with fire. b. Don’t+ let+宾语+动词原形+其他。 E.g. Don’t let Jim do that. Don’t let us go, please. Complete the instructions with the verbs in brackets.
