So...that... (如此……以至于……) 结构: so + 形容词/副词 + that从句 功能: so 后面直接修饰形容词或副词。 例句: He ran so fast that I couldn't catch up with him. (×) 四、 结果状语从句的简化与转换 结果状语从句有时可以转换为简单句,使表达更简洁。 1. 转换为 “too...to...” 结构(太……而不能……) 当主句和从句的主语一致,且从句为否定句时。 He was so tired that he couldn't walk any further. → He was too tired to walk any further. (他太累了,不能再走了。) 2. 转换为 “…enough to…” 结构(足够……可以……) 当主句和从句的主语一致,且从句为肯定句时。 He is so strong that he can lift the box. → He is strong enough to lift the box. (他足够强壮,可以抬起这个箱子。) 五、 与其他从句的区别 1. 与目的状语从句的区别: 结果状语从句: 表示客观事实上的结果。 I got up early, so that I caught the early bus. (我起得早,结果赶上了早班车。)(事实结果) 目的状语从句: 表示主观想要达到的目的。 I got up early so that I could catch the early bus.
