Play the video clip to elicit the argument. Watch the video clip and get to know how the argument emerges. While-reading(I) In term of the students’ different opinions, divide them into two groups and ask them to read the given reading materials. Show agreement or disagreement about keeping pet dogs and then sit in two groups. Read to grasp the general idea about the reading materials. To help the students develop their reading skills: read for gist& read for detailed information.To help the students compare two different opinions on keeping pet dogs. Ask the students to pinpoint Emma’s and Matt’s general opinions, viewpoints and the supportive ideas of each viewpoint and their conclusions.
