This dangerous disease hurt many children in China. Solution: The answer was to make cheap and effective vaccine. About the Inventor: Gu Fangzhou, a Chinese scientist, spent years studying polio vaccines. He tested the vaccine on himself. Finally he invented the world’s first “sugar pill” vaccine. Materials: He made it out of the vaccine, sugar and milk powder.
