Module 6 状语从句 在上一模块中，我们学习了"if 从句 + 祈使句"这一结构。在本模块中，我们继续学习 if 引 导的条件状语从句。我们先来看以下例句： If he does not work hard, he will fail his exams. 如果他不努力，考试就要不及格了。 If you start now, you'll finish it before dinner. 如果你现在开始（做家庭作业），晚饭前就可以 做完了。 If you do all these other things instead of your homework, you won't have time to study. 如果你在做这些其他的事，不做作业，你就没有时间学习了。 从例句中我们可以看出，if 引导的从句表示某种假设的情况，主句则表示此种情况所导致的 结果。一般来说，这种结构中的从句如果用一般现在时，那么主句的谓语多用一般将来时或 "情态动词 + 动词原形"。我们再来看两个例句： If I start after dinner, I'll finish it before I go to bed. 如果我晚饭后开始（做家庭作业），睡觉前 就能做完。 She may come with us if she arrives in time. 如果她来得及时，就可以和我们一道去。 if 条件状语从句的时态规则： 在主从复合句中，当主句使用一般将来时态时，if 引导的条件状语从句应该使用一般现在时 态来表示将来。这就是所谓的"主将从现"原则。例如： If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home. 如果明天下雨，我们就待在家里。 If you study hard, you will pass the exam. 如果你努力学习，你就会通过考试。 情态动词在条件句中的使用： 除了 will 之外，我们还可以在条件句的主句中使用其他情态动词，如 can, may, should, must 等来表达不同的语气。例如： If you finish your work, you can go home early. 如果你完成工作，你可以早点回家。 If you feel sick, you should see a doctor. 如果你感觉不舒服，你应该去看医生。 if 条件句的语序： if 条件状语从句可以放在主句之前或之后。当 if 从句放在句首时，需要用逗号与主句隔开； 当 if 从句放在句末时，通常不需要逗号。例如： If you need help, I will be there. （从句在前） I will be there if you need help. （从句在后） Module 6 状语从句习题 一、时态填空题：用括号中动词的正确形式填空 1.
