Grammar Rules 情态动词本身有一定的含义，表示说话人对有关行为或事物的态度和看法。情态动词所表示的情态有:命令、允诺、义务、可能、需要等。我们所熟悉的can和may都属于这类词。情态动词一般无人称和数的变化，后面接的动词需用原形，否定式是在情态动词后面加not。 Modals (1) 情态动词 should can need must have to had better should (1) You should listen to the doctor's advice.
