Lesson 58 Ms. Liu's speech 教案 1教学目标 Ⅰ.Language Knowledge: Ss will be able to use the words and phrases: speech, period, valuable, achieve, behalf, congratulation, go by, fall down, pick yourself up, on behalf of Ⅱ. Language Skills Listening: Students can get the main idea while listening. Speaking: Students will be able to make a graduation speech in English. Reading: Students can understand the graduation speech well. Writing: They can write their own graduation speeches in English. 2学情分析 This is a reading English lesson. Students in Grade 9 have already mastered basic reading skills and had large enough vocabulary. So they can express their own ideas. They are going to graduate from junior high middle school, and it's one of their best memories in their life. A graduating ceremony is necessary for them to memorize what they experienced in this period. By having the lesson, I want to help them build their confidence to face difficulties which they may face in the future. In the other way, let them remember their valuable school life, including friends, teachers and all the unforgettable experiences. Encourage students to look into their bright futures. 3重点难点 Teaching Important Point: To understand the meaning of this lesson. Teaching Difficult Point: To write a graduation speech in English. 4教学过程 活动1【讲授】教学设计 Teaching Procedure: Step 1: Warming up and Lead-in Lead in by showing students some pictures, then tell them they are giving speeches. At the same time, ask them to consider factors of a good speech. Next, lead Ss to talk about their life of junior high school by using key words and phrases of the lesson. Step 2: Listening: Class Work Listen to the tape and choose the best answer. 1) What’ Ms. Liu doing A. She is playing with her students. B. She is giving a speech. C.
