This story is about an emperor who loved clothes. Nobody wanted to sound stupid. So they were really trying to cheat the emperor. 3.勇敢面对生活,纯真无私,坚持真理。 Teaching importance and difficulty: To practice students’ listening. To improve students’ oral English ability. Teaching procedures: Step I Warm up Show a picture and ask the questions to lead in the mew words (emperor, gold,silk,cheat, nobody,stupid,underwear). Q1: Do you know the title of the story? Q2: Is it come from China? Q3: Who is the main character in the story? Q4: Who can tell us something about the story? Read the new words after the teacher. Match the words with the letters in the pictures in 1c. Step II Listening Look at the pictures and try to put them into the righter order. Listen and number the pictures [1-5] in 1c to check their answers. Listen again and judge true (T) or false (F).Before listening,read the statements first.Then,while checking the answers, let the students correct the mistakes. (1)This story is about an emperor who loved food. (2) Two brothers came to the city to make special clothes for themselves. (3) The emperor gave them silk and gold, but they kept everything for themselves. (4)The emperor could see the beautiful clothes. (5)It's a young boy who shouted that the emperor wasn't wearing any clothes. Listen for the third time and fill in the blanks in 1c. Look through the sentences first.
