Ask the students to read the instructions and complete the listening practice in 2b, then check the answers. Ask two or three pairs to read the model conversation in 2c to the class. Play the recording for the students to listen and repeat. Ask the students to find out some useful expressions and language points and talk about them in groups. Read the phrases and try to remember them and listen to the tape to do the listening exercises. Make conversations. Read the instructions and complete the listening practice in 2a. Listen again. Draw lines to the reasons in the chart in 2a. Mke conversations between Peter and his father. Read the conversation individually and find the answer. Read by the recorder.
