Warm up Review: The clue of the story: Wooden Horse Fill in the blanks. To ask Ss to find out the clue by themselves. II. Presentation Pre-writing 1 Work individually: ask Ss to finish the exercise A on Page92. 2 Check the answers. 3 Free talk: What do you think of the Trojan captain and the Trojan war? 4 Ask Ss to complete the spider-gram, add the captain’s feelings and the lessons he has got. Writing 1 Work in groups of five: Make a dialogue between the captain’s son and him. 2 Ask the students to end up the story according to the different speakers. Post- writing 1 Work in groups, try to access his partner's work by the following standards 1). Content (what happen?) 2). Fluency (Is it fluent? Is it logical? Are there linking words?) 3). Grammar (Are there any grammatical mistakes?) 4). Spelling (Are there any spelling mistakes?) Choose two or three good passages to share with the whole class. 一. Pre-writing 1 Retell the story as one of the soldiers inside the wooden horse. 2 Brain storm: Use some adj. or verb phrases to describe the captain and the war. 3 Complete the spider-gram. 二. Writing 1 Work in groups and act out the dialogue with partners. 2 Complete the whole passage, including the story, the captain’s feeling and the lessons he has got. Post-writing 1 Check the partner’s work and share the passage with group members. 2 Talk with partners. Pre-writing 1 Form sentences with the words given.
