T: Hello, children! Today I will divide you two groups. One is blue team and the other is green team. If you do a good job, you can get one point. And the winners can get some bonus. / (classroom assessment) Enjoy a story and answer questions: Do you like the ants in the story? Why? / (a story about ants) T: Are you happy today? Ss: Yes, we are. T: I’m happy, too. Because we are going to read an interesting story about ants. Do you like ants? Ss: Yes./No. T: Now let’s enjoy the story and then answer my questions-- Do you like the ants in the story? Why? (After enjoying) Ss1: I like the ants because they are strong. Ss2: I like the ants because they are funny. Ss3: I like the ants because they are interesting. (设计意图:通过欣赏与蚂蚁有关的趣味动画来引入今天的话题,并激发学生的学习兴趣。) Step2 Presentation & Practice A. Pre-reading(读前) Guess: What happens to Robin and the ant? / (a picture from the English book) T: Look at the picture. Can you see an ant? Does the ant feel happy? Does Robin feel happy? Guess: What makes them happy? That is to say, what happens to Robin and the ant? (设计意图:通过课本插图,引出故事标题,并通过连连提问设置悬念,引导学生读今天所学的故事。) B. While-reading(读中) Task 1 Scan and choose. What happens to Robin and the ant? A. Robin helps the ant. B. The ant helps Robin. C. Robin and the ant help each other. (设计意图:学生快速浏览全文,读懂大意,以选择题的形式来降低阅读难度。) Task 2 Read and answer. (Paragraph 1) What’s the weather like in the morning? It’s _____. What is Robin going to do when he hears,“wait!”? T: Circle the key phrase of your answer.
