Module 2 Highlights of My Senior Year By the time you graduate from high school, there are some things you should know to be successful in the future.Whether you go to college, or begin working full time, you will benefit from mastering a set of skills, useful not only in school, but in life. Money management Learning to manage your money means understanding how to keep track of your income and expenses.Take a course to learn basic knowledge on money management if your school offers one.Topics will include balancing a checkbook and learning how to compare prices while shopping for everyday items. Time management A high school student needs to learn how to budget her or his time. This involves knowing when to work, when to play, when to socialize (交际) and when to relax.Getting all of your tasks done and still having time to do the things you love will contribute to the peace of your mind and help reduce stress. Goal?setting The high school graduates should be able to set a goal and work towards it.This requires understanding which goal is realistic, and which is just a pie?in?the?sky vision. In addition, as a high school graduate, you must have a clear idea of how to get from point A to point B, taking the necessary steps to reach your goal.In general, knowing what you want and how to get it is a mark of adulthood. Communication Effective communication is key to human relationships. This includes knowledge of body language, etiquette (礼仪) and politeness when you get on with a variety of people. It also involves how you communicate in writing, whether it's an e?mail to your boss, a job application or a letter of complaint to your neighbors. What makes you happy Many high school students are stressed out due to a large amount of schoolwork and the college application process.Taking time to find out what makes you happy will help you avoid pitfalls (陷阱) when it comes to making big decisions in later life.
