In it, she describes her holiday travel. She and her parents are visiting Shanghai, and she describes what they saw on the first day of their trip. Text 2 is a school newspaper column with two articles about educational visits or cultural exchange trips to New Zealand and Japan. She explains each interesting place they visited and gives her opinion of them. She mentions the weather, the meals they ate and how they felt after walking all day to see everything. The purpose of Wendy’s letter is to share her experience with Connie. It also describes the hotel and compares the weather to Beijing. This is part of the description of Nanjing Road, the first famous tourist attraction Wendy visited. Pghs 3-6 describe other sites and give some opinions.
