    中小学教育资源及组卷应用平台 Unit 6 Birdwatching Comic strip&Welcome to the unit 设计说明 首先通过Free talk导入本单元文章主题———鸟。通过图片展示引导学生学习本课时鸟的名称,利用书上的问题让学生对描述这几种鸟的外形的词句进行整体的学习,之后通过Guessing game、Pair work的练习让学生进一步掌握目标语言。最后将本单元文章中的重点短语和句式提取出来让学生记忆和理解。并让学生通过一个小练习巩固所学知识。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:market,yeah,hen,wing,birdwatching,yummy,crane,sparrow,feather,swan,broad, type, eagle,rare 2.能力目标 了解几种鸟的英文名称和基本特点。 3.情感目标 引导、教育学生保护鸟类、保护自然。 重点难点 重点:用形容词描述鸟的外形。 难点:用固定句式描述鸟的外形。 教学准备 PPT 课件;B部分的听力录音,Comic strip部分的听力录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Have a free talk. Ask students two questions about birds. (1)Do you like birds? (2)Do you want to know more about birds? T:Hello, boys and girls, we all like different kinds of birds. You also know a lot about birds, today we will go birdwatching. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures. Ask the students two questions to talk about some birds and present somewords,phrases for them to learn. (1) What bird is this? (Show the word: crane.) (2) What does it look like?(Show the phrases : a long thin neck, long legs) Show the pictures of swan, sparrow, and eagle. 2. Lead students to read the new words and phrases three times or more. 3. Ask students to finish Part Aon page 69. Answers: 1b 2a 3d 4c Step 3 Consolidation Have a guessing game. Show students some sentences and ask students “What bird is it?”to review some adjectives used to describe birds. Step 4 Presentation 1. Ask the students to listen to Part B and answerthe following questions. (1)What’s Simon’s favourite bird? (2)What do they look like? Answers: (1)Cranes. (2)They are tall.They have long legs and a long thin neck. 2. Ask the students to listen to Part B again and answer the following question. How many types of cranes are there in the world? Answer:There are only 15 types of cranes in the world. Step 5Consolidation Ask students to use some adjectives and sentences used to describe birds make a dialogue. 1.crane : tall, long legs,long thin neck 2.sparrow : small, brown and grey feathers 3.swan : white feathers, long thin neck 4. eagle : brown feathers, broad wings A model dialogue A: What’s your favourite bird?
