『教学设计』 Title: Module 1 unit 1 It’s more than 2000 years old. Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary &Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Content: Listening and Vocabulary and Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary and phrases: ancient, club, composition, pupil, meeting, call, event Key structure: Sentence structure 2, Listening skill: To understand the topic words and the conversation. To know something about the pyramids and the Grand Canyon .难点) 3.Speaking skill: Talk about starting a school magazine. 4. Attitudes: Develop the interest to the wonders of the world. Learning strategies: Bottom 杣p approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout) Teaching Procedures: Part I: Revision Task: Recall what we have learned in the last Book. Directions: Step one: Label the pictures with the phrases. (1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).Make some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Step two: Talk about your summer holiday. eg. What did you do in your summer holiday ? Did you get up at 7 ? Where have you been? How many books have you read? What was the name of the books? Which one do you like best? What English program did you listen to? Have you been to any places of interest? Was it interesting? Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Part II: Lead in: Task 1: Introduce to them the new words. Directions: Step one: Introduce the new words of this unit. And list them on the board. Step two: Read after the teacher. Step three: Practise reading the words. Step four: Ask the students to look at some pictures of places of interest . Elicit what they can see. If there are any new words, add them to the list on the board. Step five: Make some sentences using the new words from the whole class. Task 2: Talk about the picture as follows Directions: Step one. First make sure the Ss understand what they should do. Ss read the words first in Activity 1 on page 2.. Step two: Explain that if they have difficulties. Step three: Let the S talk about the picture by themselves. Step four: Have the Ss. make some sentences. (e.g. Where is it?) Part III: Listening Task 1 : Listen and understand conversations. Directions: Step one: Listen and check the words you hear in Activity 2 on page 2. Step two: Read through the answers and think of the questions. Make sure the Ss understand them all. Step three: Play the recording and have them choose the best answers in Activity 4, then check with a partner. Step four: Then call back the answer from the whole class. Step five: Play the recording again for the Ss to check their answers . Task 2 : To understand conversations . Directions: Step one: Ask the Ss to listen to the passage and answer some questions .
