Unit 9 Section A When was it invented 一、教材分析: 本单元主要围绕着“Inventions”这个话题,通过熟悉我们周围经常使用发明物的历史来开阔眼界,丰富自己的阅历,使自己养成勤于思考,善于总结的好习惯。 二、教学目标(Teaching aims and demands) (一)语言目标 1、掌握一般过去时的被动语态和特殊疑问句。 2、学会谈论发明的历史,会使用以下的基本句子: When was the car invented It was invented in 1885. Who were they invented by They were invented by ... What are they used for They are used for seeing in the dark. (二) 认识目标: 弄清主动语态与被动语态的差异,通过练习和运用加以巩固。 (三)情感目标: 1、通过学习使学生懂得人类的科学发明创造了丰富的物质文明。 2、培养学生的创造发明的能力和愿望。 三. 教学重点(Teaching key points) 1、To learn to use Passive voice (questions and statements) 2、To listen, talk and read about invention 四、教学难点: Train students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. 五、教学方式: 任务型教学法,多媒体辅助教学等等。 Teaching Procedures Step 1 Greeting T: Good morning, boys and girls! Nice to meet you! As we know, China is a country with a long history. Today, I will take you to visit some famous museums and know something about China. Let’s go! At first, we will visit a history museum. There are many inventions in the history museum. Step 2 Presentation 1、Play a game. Let the students guess what it is or what they are. Suggest the students by using “It is/ They are used for...” 2、Show a picture of a camera and present the sentence structures. A: What is the camera used for B: It’s used for taking photos. 3、Show the pictures of a telephone, some watches, and some keys, present the structures in the same way. A: What is/are the ... used for B: It’s/They’re used for ... Step3 Pairwork Practice this sentence structure. A: What is/are the ... used for B: It’s/They’re used for ... Step 4 Presentation 1、Show some pictures and guess who invented it. T: There are also many other inventions in the history museum. Let’s go to visit them. T : What is it It is papermaking. T : What is it It is a light bulb. T : What is it It is a plane. T : What is it It is a calculator. 2、Guess who invented them. T: Who invented the papermaking/ the light bulb... Then match the answers. 3、Present the sentence structure. T: Who invented it (Another way , we can also say) = Who was it invented by T: Cai Lun invented it. (Another way , we can also say) = It was invented by Cai Lun. 4、Present other pictures and practice the sentence structures.
