Unit 3 Animal World 第三课时 一、教材分析 《新起点英语》高年级教材强调帮助学生树立进一步学好英语的自信心和综合语言运用能力的进一步发展，为升入中学继续学好英语奠定基础。本课是人教版新起点英语六年级上册第3单元第3课内容。通过学习、讨论大象的特征，从而过渡到其他动物的描述中。 二、学生分析 授课班级为我校六年级学生。经过五年多的英语学习，学生已有一定的英语基础，具备讨论交流的能力。但学生英语语言组织能力还有待进一步提高，缺乏综合运用语言谈论所学话题的能力，需在教师的引领下突破这—难点。 三、教学目标 1、知识目标∶ ( 1）能够听懂、会说 mammals，truck，tusk，Africa ，Asia等单词，掌握其读音及意义。 (2）能够听懂、会说用来询问动物类别及其特征的功能句: ①What animals do you like ②What kind of animals are elephants ③What do elephants eat ④What do elephants look like ⑤Where do elephants live ⑥What can elephants do 掌握以上功能句的意思，能够初步运用以上功能句型对动物习性、特征等进行简单的描述。 2、能力目标: (1)、能够使用本单元所学的句型，谈论自己所喜欢的动物及他们的类型。 (2)、能够简单的对动物进行描述。 3、其它目标: (1)、能够积极参与课堂上的各种活动或游戏，并能与同伴合作完成活动。 (2)、能够在活动中认真倾听同伴发言，并尝试表达自己的观点。 (3)、通过学习动物知识和故事，树立爱护动物、人与动物和谐共处的意识 四、重点难点 重 点∶用简单的语篇表达某种动物的特性。 难 点:引导学生综合运用语言描述动物类别及特征。 五、教法、学法 通过Free talk 等形式，自然过渡到新知识的导入，从而引出新授内容。组织学生交流，讨论并及时点拔，通过猜谜游戏，快速阅读、精读等各种形式营造和谐的教学氛围，充分调动学生的眼、耳、手、脑等多种器官参与活动;增加了教学内容的丰富性和趣味性，起到了构建知识、创设情景、演示等多方面的作用。 六、教学过程 Step 1: Greeting: 1、Say hello to each other. 2、Free talk:What day What’s the date How’s the weather Step 2: Presentation : 1、Ask and answer: T:My favourite day is Monday,what’s your favourite day P1:My favourite day is .
