Unit 3 Welcome to our school! Reading (I) 一、教学目标 1. 掌握本节课重点词汇:show sb. around sp, in front of 2. 掌握本节课重点句型:Your school looks beautiful. The playground is so big. My classroom is on the ground floor. The classrooms are clean and bright. Let me show you around. 通过读,获取Millie学校的信息。 4. 用英语介绍校园内的各类设施。 用适当的语言向他人介绍校园环境。 二、教学重点及难点 重点:引导学生通过阅读,归纳介绍校园信息的句型和要点。 难点:帮助学生记住并使用描述学校的名词和形容词来介绍自己的学校。 三、教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up Ask Ss to have a free talk by showing the following questions: 1. How many buildings are there in your school 2. What places does your school have 3. Do you like your school Why or why not 【设计意图】让学生谈论自己的学校的建筑以及谈论对学校的感觉,引出话题,又为接下来的学习做了铺垫。 Step 2 Pre-reading Introduce the places in the school and revise the vocabulary. Then ask them to write the words about Millie’s school. Then guide them to talk about the activities in school. 【设计意图】让学生介绍学校的不同教室来复习词汇,并结合图片复习上一环节的单词,借助图片引导学生谈论学校的活动,起到承上启下的作用,自然过渡到阅读中。 Step 3 While-reading Read and think Ask them the questions What places do they talk about How do they look to guide them read and think the places and the descriptions. 【设计意图】通过设置问题,引导学生浏览文章之后对文本有大概的理解。 Read and write T or F. Let Ss read the whole dialogue freely and write T or F. 【设计意图】通过阅读勾选和判断,培养学生快读阅读提取细节信息的能力,聚焦核心信息。 Step 4 Post-reading Think about and discuss the following questions. Then ask them to talk about the colorful school life. What can we do in the school library What can we do in the school hall 【设计意图】通过引导学生思考和讨论问题,引导学生关注学校的各个教室的功能,感受学校的多彩生活。 Guide Ss to describe the school like this: A: Welcome to our school. This room is our art room. It is on the ground floor of the building. B: Oh, it looks so beautiful. What can you do there A: We may have art lessons here. B: That sounds great. 【设计意图】通过编对话,在新的语境中内化所学语言和信息,然后请学生展示,并评价学生在展示中生成的典型问题,集中处理。 Introduce the context that Millie’s father doesn’t go to her school on the Open Day. So he is asking Millie’s mother some questions. Suppose you are Millie’s father, make a dialogue between Millie’s mother and his father. 【设计意图】将所学的对话,迁移到新的语境中,帮助学生内化语言和信息,提升学习的迁移能力。 Step 5 Summary Ask Ss to summarize the organization and language they have learned.
