Fu Zai, a British short-hair cat from Shenzhen, was one of them. Fu Zai even received certificate (证书) with the following words on it: “Dear Fu Zai, in view of your excellent performance at our pet centre, we decided to give you the title Ant- epidemic (防疫) Little Hero as a prize. We hope you will grow up healthily and happily!” The certificate was from a pet care centre in Shenzhen. Fu Zai spent about 20 days there while his owner was experiencing centralized quarantine(集中隔离). In fact, there were two such centres in Shenzhen which were used to help people take care of their pets during the special period. On March 16, the construction of the first pet care centre began, and at about 1 a.m. on March 18, the construction was completed. A week later, the second centre was built near the first. In addition to cats, there were also dogs, hamsters, rabbits and ducks in the centres.
