By finding the similarities among these people, Ss are introduced to the topic-Lianda. 通过展示西南联大学者的图片,将已知的人物与本课主题产生联系,引出本课主题,吸引学生兴趣。 学习理解: 感知与注意 Step 2 T gives the full name of Lianda-National Southwest Associated University and asks Ss about the background information of it, showing the picture of Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University. With Ss interest aroused, they begin the reading. 通过引出西南联大名字的由来以及形成背景,产生阅读文本与学生现有信息之间的信息差,使学生形成阅读期待。 学习理解: 感知与注意 While-reading Step 3 First reading T asks Ss to read the passage fast and find the reason why the 3 famous universities joined together. T invites Ss to share the answer and shows the route of it. 引导学生快速阅读并提取背景信息,了解西南联大的组成学校以及地点、形成背景。 学习理解: 获取与梳理 概括与整合 Step 4 Second reading Tasks Ss:“What are the difficulties they met during and after the journey ”Ss read the following paragraphs and locate answers. Then based on the answer, T goes on asking questions like "Can yo use some words to conclude he conditions ". Ss discuss with each other before sharing answers.
