Unit 5 Working the Land Reading and Thinking: A Pioneer for All People Teaching Design （一）Teaching contents 本节课为文章阅读课，其话题为 working the land-A pioneer for all people.通过本节课的阅读希望学生能够对袁隆平的成就 与此同时提高其阅读能力和语言运用能力。通过系列问题的研究，锻炼学生的思维能力。 (二）Teaching methods and learning methods 本节课主要运用了任务型教学法，启发式教学和情景教学法，为学生创设学习情境，设置不同的学习任务，引导学生发现问题和解决问题。通过阅读，讨论，写作等学习活动，鼓励学生在教师指导下进行自主学习，合作学习，互动学习和探究学习。 （三）Students analysis 本节课针对的是高二学生，他们经过了高一一学年的英语学习有了一定的知识基础，同时也理解了高中英语学习侧重于思维能力的培养，对他们感兴趣的话题也能够用英语进行表达，希望通过阅读学习，学生能对文章有很好的理解，并提高阅读能力和语用能力。 （四）Teaching aims 1.Know more about world 8hunger and Longping’s contributions to the development of agriculture. 2.Develop students’ reading and speaking skills, sense of group cooperation and critical thinking abilities 3. Grasp the main idea of each paragraph, understand Yuan Longping’s contributions to the world and learn good qualities from Yuan Longping. 2. Improve reading and speaking skills. 3. Participate in all kinds of activities. （六）Teaching procedures 整堂课的教学分为六个部分，分别为导入，快读，细读，巩固，读后讨论与展示及作业。通过对系列问题的研究，提高学生的阅读能力，锻炼学生的思维能力，通过活动的讨论与展示，调动学生参与课堂的积极性，充分发挥教师主导学生主体的作用。 Step, 1 Lead-in In this part a series of pictures concerning about world hunger is presented. Let students realize that there are still a large number of people who are suffering hunger. But today we Chinese can feed ourselves. Then ask them the question: Who plays an important role in eliminating hunger 【设计意图】：通过一系列的图面展示开始本节课，让学生看到世界各地仍存在饥饿问题，但是在中国我们已经达到温饱，自然引出问题谁对于消除饥饿做出了巨大贡献？一方面可以吸引学生的兴趣，另一方面也顺利的引出了本节课的话题。 Step 2. Fast reading Students read the passage quickly then find the main idea of each paragraph. Paragraph 1 A. Yuan conducted research and developed hybrid rice. Paragraph 2 B.
