
外研社(2019)必修一教学设计 课 题 Unit 3 Family matters Reading- Like Father Like Son 设计思想 《普通高中英语课程标准》(2017年版2020年修订)《中提出,学习语篇知识是发展语言运用能力的基础。体裁特征是语篇学习的一个重要方面,因而在本课中,教师围绕戏剧的语篇体裁特点设计了层层递进的一系列活动,使学生在梳理文本信息和建构新知识过程中,深入了解故事性文本的特征,从而对语篇体裁有细致把握。 教学内容解析 【What】Like Father, Like Son是一篇短小的戏剧,讲述了父亲与儿子由于立场不同而对未来职业规划产生分歧和冲突,并最终由祖父调和的一段故事。 【How】本文是一篇戏剧,其要素包括settings, characters, actions, plot, dialogue等,其中dialogue是主要表现形式,plot带领学生梳理故事情节的起伏。文本中的重点词汇和表达可以体现出人物的心理状态,提示冲突产生的原因,推动故事情节发展,如assume, think carefully before jumping with both feet.本剧因为涉及一对父子现在的矛盾和另一对父子曾经的冲突,时态上呈现出过去时态和现在时态交织的特点。文章的结构上有显性和隐性的两条故事脉络:显性的故事情节按照时间顺序发展,在父子矛盾爆发时达到高潮;隐性的故事脉络则隐藏于两对父子之间分别的矛盾冲突及两个矛盾本身之间的对比呈现出的相似性,同时呼应了“Like Father, Like Son”的文章标题。 【Why】语篇通过呈现两对父与子之间产生的家庭矛盾冲突和妥善解决,点出整个单元“family matters”的主题。文章内容贴近学生生活,引起共鸣,启发其思考家庭矛盾的本质,从而设法去解决家庭矛盾冲突,让家庭更和谐。 学情分析 本班学生英语基础较好,学习态度较认真,学习热情较高,部分学生能较为流畅地用英语进行交流。学生已经学习过不同体裁的故事性文本,但是戏剧体裁是高中阶段第一次出现,戏剧要素对学生而言是新的术语,但又和故事要素具有相似性,因此学生可以较为容易地识别出来。学生已基本具备阅读故事语篇梳理情节及获取信息的能力,但组织整合文本信息还需要教师引导。 教学目标 语言能力目标: To understand the main idea of the play, analyze the text and understand the meaning of the title. 文化意识目标: To know more about the differences between east and west family relationship ;establish a correct outlook on life and values. 思维品质目标: Able to analyze the reasons for the contradiction between father and son, and to choose the effective way to solve the family contradiction in accordance with their own reality. 学习能力目标: To master stylistic features, basic elements and common reading methods of dramas through discourse learning. 教学重点和难点 IMPORTANT POINTS: To guide the students to understand the passage, analyze the reason of the conflicts between father and son and understand the meaning of the title.
