After weighing the two options carefully, I strongly advocate for “Culinary Arts” as our school’s new after-school labor program. Unlike handcrafts which are fun but often end up as decorations, cooking skills let us solve real-life needs. For example, when our parents are busy, we could make ourselves a bowl of tomato egg noodles— a simple meal that fills us up, instead of just eating snacks. Besides, cooking brings richer class interaction. We could take turns stirring the pot or passing ingredients during preparation, and after cooking, sit 1 together to taste each other’s dishes. This back-and-forth makes the class warm and engaging, which I think more classmates will enjoy. This program combines skill acquisition with fun, and I’m convinced that it will gain great popularity among students. 第二节(满分 25分) One possible version: “Forget that bell,” he barked, “continue the game!” Henry gave me a sharp look, pointing at the basketball at my feet. Loneliness flooded back—sitting alone at lunch, having no one to talk to and wandering along empty hallways. Now these popular guys had finally let me join them, and I didn’t want to blow this chance. I took a deep breath, picked up the ball, and continued the game. But my mind was elsewhere. Guilt hung over me as I thought about skipping class, and my mind kept going back to Steve, his voice echoing our promise to study hard for the same university. Every pass and shot felt stiff, for my heart wasn’t really in the game. I tried to focus on the game, but Steve’s words kept ringing in my ears. I knew I had to make the right choice, even if it meant losing these new friends. I walked to Henry and gently told him that I couldn’t keep playing. I explained my promise with Steve and how I didn’t want to break it. Henry paused for a second, and then nodded slowly. He said he was sorry for pushing me, and the other kids apologized, too. We all rushed back to class, arriving just in time. As I slid into my seat, guilt melted into relief—I kept our promise. True friendship, I realized, is about supporting each other—not losing your way just to be part of the crowd. ...
