It’s the story of the last philosophy lesson the author’s mentor, Professor Morrie Schwatz, taught Mitch every Tuesday for 14 weeks before he died. Morrie, a professor of socialpsychology in his 70s, was dying of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)(肌萎缩侧索硬化症) in 1994. As one of Morrie’s early students, Mitch visited the professor every Tuesday to listen to the old man’s final instructions and, after his death, Mitch wrote a book called Tuesdays with Morrie.
