Asking and answering correctly about the amount of uncountable nouns. 教学过程 Step1: Review 1.Show students some pictures of the food that appears in this unit. And ask students to list the ingredients of the food and cookers. 2. Ask students: Do you remember how we cook food like milk shake, fruit salad, Russian soup... 3. Make students recall the verbs or phrasal verbs about food making that appear in this unit according to some pictures. 4. Ask students to match the verbs with the pictures. Step 2: Learn to cook — tomato and egg soup Create a situation for students and invite students to help the teacher cook tomato and egg soup. Show students the steps of making the soup by watching some pictures. Make students finish the exercise in Self Check 1. Number these instructions for making tomato and egg soup in the correct order. Then complete the instructions with the words in the box. Check the answers. 5. Show students the pictures of 3 bowls of soup that were made by Yang Le, Li Li and Chen Lu. Encourage students to taste and comment them. 6. Encourage students to find out the reasons why they all failed. 7. Guide students to discover the problem— the amount of water, salt and sugar is not proper. 8. Invite a cook for help and make clear the proper amount. 9. Emphasize the way of asking and answering the amount of uncountable nouns. Step 3: Learn to cook — a cake Ask student to finish the exercise in Self check 2. Write questions and answers using the words in brackets. Then practise the conversations with their partner if possible. Check the answer by inviting students to show their conversations. Step 4: Write a recipe Put the tips of making a cake into a form. Then add the process of making food to the form. And tell students that is a recipe. Ask students to write a recipe for their favourite food. The teacher shows students a recipe for tomato and egg soup first. Students have group work to write recipes. Show students works. Ask students to introduce their recipes. The teacher shows students an example. Invite some students to introduce their r ... ...
