Think about the stylistic features of a news report. Talk with SS by raising the questions. Encourage SS to express their ideas and state reasons actively. Set down their good answers on the blackboard Explain 5W+1H To introduce the topic of this lesson; To activate SS background knowledge. To cultivate SS critical thinking of different attitudes to money. 通过熟悉的话题,调动孩子们学习今日话题的积极性。 While listening Listen to the news report and match the people with the correct information. Focus on who, when and where. Listen to the first part and focus on what happened between Chen Liyan and Wang Zheng, how Chen did it, and why she did so. Listen to the second part and finish the chart below. Answer a question to learn to make inferences. Listen again and put these events in the correct order. Listen again and decide if these statements are true or false. Fill in the blanks of the listening text and then retell the news in your own words. Play the recording Explain how to make inferences Remind SS to use some necessary time conjunctions to retell the story. To get the main idea of the news report and learn to get the key information like who, what, when, where, why and how. To focus on the stylistic features of a news report To focus on the details and make SS aim at some specific information and further discuss the question “why Chen returned the money.” To check if they miss anything and go over the whole passage to review the key information. To make students more attentive to listening and improve their ability to memorize the key information and practice their oral expression. 任务层层推进,同学们很积极的思考,完成各个任务。任务完成基本准确,偶有小错误。回答问题能有自己独特的见解,能大胆的表达出来。 Post-listening: Discuss their answers to some questions in pairs and learn to make inferences.
