The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) chose the panda to be its symbol.. 动词不定式在“动词+宾语+动词不定式”的结构中充当宾语的补足语,是对宾语的补充说明。 英语中,有些及物动词后接宾语所表达的意义还不够完整、充分,需要在宾语后面加上一个成分(单词或短语)来对宾语的特征、状态等情况进行补充说明,使句子意义变得更加完整。我们把这个成分称之为宾语补足语。常用作宾语补足语的有名词(短语)、形容词、介词短语、动词-ing形式、动词不定式等。 动词不定式作宾语补足语 e.g. The teacher told me to clean the blackboard. I want you to give me some help. They have invited me to go to Paris with them. Eric asked me to go with him. I strongly encourage everyone to go and see this film. 常带不定式作宾语补足语的动词: + sb. to do sth. tell, allow, ask, order, get, invite, wish, want, encourage等 注意: 1) 以上动词接不定式作宾语补足语时,若要表达否定的意思,要在to do前加not, 构成not to do的形式。例如: Mr Han told us not to make too much noise. 韩先生告诉我们不要弄出太大声音。 Jack told me not to touch anything! 杰克告诉我不要碰任何东西。 listen to hear watch see look at observe notice 五看 三使 (使役动词) let have make 二听 一感觉: feel + sb. do sth. (不带to) 2) 有些动词后接不定式作宾语补足语时,要将to省略。 e.g. I’ll have Tony show you around the school. His words made everyone laugh. 本模块Unit 1的课文中出现了一句话: Many wild animals don’t have a safe place to live, because villagers and farms are growing bigger and are taking away their land for forests. 这里的不定式(to live)是作宾语补足语吗?为什么? to live在这里作定语,修饰a safe place。本句中 “have” 的意思是“有”; “have sb. do sth ” 中have是使役动词,表示 “让某人做某事”。 3) help后面的动词不定式可带to,也可不带to。 She often helps me (to) do the housework. 她常常帮我做家务。 We helped him (to) fix his bike. 我们帮他修自行车。 Observe the following sentences carefully and pay attention to the function of “to do”. 1.
